Great Moments In ZPL History

1904. Mayor breaks ground. Director breaks wind.

1914. "Ol' Gluepot," bookmobile horse, retires.

1923. New chimney installed. Can be seen for miles.

1943. Bookmobile found in river. Driver arrested.

1953. Library holds premiere of local filmmaker's Ultra-widescreen movie.

1956. Adolf Hitler portait in Banned Book Room vandalised with spray-painted Stars of David.

Paper cuts - the librarian's nightmare. "Ouch! That hurts!"

1967. Centennial Year. Library budget allows for purchase of 100 books to coincide.

1969. First amnesty day proves extremely successful. Books safely put away by midnight using 35 volunteers. New branch planned.

1976. Old Inglewalk branch flattened to make way for new building.

Man that's big!
1971. Automation arrives. Town builds additional power plant. That's all the pictures we could find. Sorry there isn't more.

This web page was made by the Advanced Class of the Zuluville Special Needs School. We'd like to think Mrs. Weaver and Mrs Simpson for all her help. Also thanks to Mr. Gibson at the Radio Shoppe for lending us his Commodore 64. It was cool. Too bad Brad had to move to Calgary, he was supposed to make the logo.

Man that's big!
If the library had a zoo, they probably would have to make extra big bathrooms. He even has an i pod.
