That Su-Ling Goh can do weather is not an issue.

The versatile Global Edmonton personality has often been called in to fill in for regular weatherperson Nicola Crosbie (after Mike Sobel, Kevin O'Connell and Gord Whitehead have passed on the offer).
The station's Health Matters reporter since the spring of 2006, Su-Ling is a relative broadcasting veteran.
She grew up in St. Albert, graduated from St. Albert High School and achieved a Bachelor of Science degree with Specialisation in Zoology from the University of Alberta (making the Dean's List in her last year). Her father is Chinese and her mother is French.
After taking a year off after her degree (yes, she she worked as a waitress), Su-Ling enrolled in NAIT's Radio and Television Arts program and won several scholarships while graduating at the top of her class.
From there she helped launch A-Channel Edmonton (now Citytv) in September 1997, where she worked as a writer and videographer. She then moved to A-Channel Calgary to handle that station's entertainment reportage.
Later for six seasons Su-Ling hosted Pyramid Productions/Global TV's national Inside Entertainment program (before that show eventually gave way to the maple-branded Entertainment Tonight Canada), and Global's science and technology show, Technical Knockout, with Carey Roberts.
In her off-hours in Calgary, the ever-studious Goh kept her mental skills alert by taking a "crash" correspondence course in meteorology, little knowing how helpful the back-up plan would someday be.
In the spring of 2006, Su-Ling returned to Edmonton TV screens covering everything from young moms battling ovarian cancer to teenage amputees.
According to her Global bio, Su-Ling loves eating pizza, and her favourite movie is Amelie. Outside of work, she enjoys dinner dates with friends and curling up with a good book Merriam-Webster's Medical Dictionary is her favourite.
However, the diminutive (five-foot nothing when soaking wet) Goh perhaps looks her best and her most cheerful in front of a green screen down in the Global basement studios on Charles Allard Way.

And her recent appearance stepping in Bill Matheson's old shoes afforded the Last Link an opportunity to reflect on Su-Ling's sparkling eyeball-pleasing qualities strictly from a critical media point of view, of course.
