CHED posted one of their best placings since their heyday as the city's premier Top 40 station in the late sixties and early seventies. The folks at Standard Radio must be puzzling why the Bear's audience seemed to split off towards K-Rock and EZ-Rock, a fate also shared by Mix 96. In June, CHQT debuted its Cool-880 format, playlisting songs from the sixties and seventies.
