Glynda Jean Stewart was born in Little Rock, Arkansas but her work left smiles on fast-food consumer faces around the world.
A graduate of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Stewart had a goal of becoming a commercial artist.
After moving to Chicago, Stewart got involved in the world of advertising. She was initially employed by the Lee King advertising agency and also designed advertising for Alberto Culver.
Stewart later worked for Frankel, a leading promotional marketing firm which held the McDonald's account.
Under her guidance she designed the promotions of the burger giant's successful Happy Meals for kids overseeing concepts, copy, visuals and toy design.
Stewart's work for McDonald's won numerous awards for graphic design.
After leaving Frankel, Stewart worked at her own marketing service business. Her clients included elder care institutions and nursing facilities.
In her later years, Stewart enjoyed designing and making jewelry, and was an avid gardener and gourmet cook.
No doubt when it came to her achievements with the fast-food giant she was lovin' it.
Glynda Jean Stewart died January 15th, 2006 at the age of 61.
